The challenge. A UAE-headquartered enterprise group was rolling its corporate SAP template into four country subsidiaries. Each country brought its own tax regime, statutory reporting and language requirements — and the group's previous rollout attempt, run template-first and localisation-later, had stalled in country two.
The approach. We rebuilt the rollout model around a defined localisation layer: the global core stayed untouched, and each country's statutory, fiscal-calendar and language requirements were specified as first-class design objects before configuration began. One core team carried the template between countries, so every lesson from country one arrived in country two as standard practice.
The delivery. Countries went live in sequence, each on a template that already contained its statutory reality. A PMO cadence of weekly one-page sponsor reporting and a jointly-owned risk register kept the four workstreams honest across time zones.
The outcome. All four subsidiaries went live on the corporate template with every statutory deadline met across the programme. Group reporting consolidated from day one in each country, and the rollout playbook is now the group's standard for future markets.
